Write for Harlequin is the voice of Harlequin's romance editors. It is the place where editors share their editorial and publishing expertise and it's an invaluable resource for writers who are interested in being published by Harlequin. As an experiment approved by the stakeholders, we have decided to use the Lean UX workflow and create a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to measure and learn along the design process.

Our editors have provided us their findings and insights about our new writers from the very beginning. We have then interviewed several writers to validate our hypothesis. As it turns out, our editors are very accurate about the writers' needs. The writers were having a hard time finding information on each Harlequin romance series, guides and FAQs on how to submit a story for consideration, and updates on Harlequin's author outreach initiatives.

Another challenge of this project is to allow editors to create and post their content at ease. With buy-in from our editors, we have decided to build the site with WordPress that our editors are familiar with to make the learning curve more shallow.
